During our Choir trip to Sichuan, we also got the privilege to tour an old Chinese town. It was beautiful, and a really enjoyable experience. Here are a few pictures.....
This month the Choir I am part of was invited to go to the Sichuan province to participate in a special Chorus festival. It was a really epic experience and a lot of fun. First we all met at the airport and prepared to board the plane. When we arrived in SIchuan, Nanchong there was a filming crew there filming us as we came out of the gate, boarded the bus, and entered the hotel! It was a very strange experience. When we were on the bus they also interviewed us briefly. We settled into the 5 star hotel which was amazing! The buffet was also awesome. The next day we did a lot of singing practice and preparation. Then we went to a dress rehearsal. Then in the evening was the performance. The auditorium was way larger than I expected... It was a great experience to sing in such a grand place. I felt very blessed to also be a testimony to the unbelievers. I was asked many time why I dress the way I do, etc. And I was so happy to have the opportunity to share. Overall it was a great trip! Since pictures tell a thousand words, I will say no more! Wow, so much has been happening this year that it is a bit hard to wrap my mind around! It is so amazing to watch as God's plan unfolds in our lives. Andrew and Jennifer met when he came on a team to China. After his trip he felt called to reach out to the Chinese. So he decided to move to Kunming. (A different province here in China) He started learning Chinese, and began to make friends with the Chinese and teach them truth. During this period of time he would come for visits, and also kept in communication with our family over social media. And as time went by, he and Jennifer became good friends, and feeling the blessing of God upon their relationship, Andrew asked to court Jennifer. They are such a precious couple. They have had a beautiful God honoring courtship and now got Married on September 23rd! It was a beautiful Wedding and many of the Chinese friends we invited were very touched. Here are a few pictures of their Wedding!! |
