We sent out invitations to old and young, and began preparing for an afternoon Christmas party. There sure was a lot to prepare for, and we had no idea how many people would come. We baked goodies, and made snacks. Prepared music, and a Christmas play. We practiced songs to sing, and decorated. And finally the day arrived where we would be bringing the gospel to as many souls as God brought. What a privilege and joy! We were all very excited...
Slowly people began to show up! Each one that walked through the door we whispered a prayer for in our hearts. The room begun too fill up and as we invited them to all sit down to enjoy the small performance we put together we soon realized the room got smaller and smaller! Praise God! But that did not hinder those who came late, they happily stood in the back to watch... The little Children got to act out the nativity story, while being narrated in English and Chinese. Many of the Chinese were filming and paying close attention. And after the play they applauded quite cheerfully! Then us youth sang Christmas songs. And then it was over all too soon. We invited them to stay and talk and fellowship. And some did! So we got to talk more with them and show them God`s love. We also gave everyone a blessing bag with a few small gifts and a card attached to a candy cane which written in Chinese says how the red stripes on the candy represents the blood Jesus shed for us for our sin, and the white stripes represent how because of his blood he makes us pure white as snow, And more.
We do not know if any of them will pursue what they heard that day, but we do know we planted a seed in each of their hearts! And that is so exciting! May is will be done.
